Tail Chasing Royalty: The Unseen Crown of Sadie

id

Sadie, the Bernese Mountain Dog, was not your average canine. She was intelligent, alert, and loyal to a fault. She was also, unbeknownst to her, the last in a long line of royal Bernese Mountain Dogs, a fact she discovered quite by accident.

One day, while digging in the backyard, Sadie unearthed a strange metallic object. It was a small, intricately designed box with a holographic projector. Intrigued, Sadie pawed at the box, activating the projector. A three-dimensional image of a regal Bernese Mountain Dog appeared, wearing a crown and a royal robe.

“Greetings, descendant,” the hologram began, its voice echoing in the quiet backyard. “I am King Rufus, the first of our line. If you are seeing this, it means you are the last of our royal lineage.”

Sadie tilted her head, her ears perking up at the sound of the hologram’s voice. She didn’t understand all the words, but she knew she was being addressed by someone important.

The hologram continued, “Our lineage is one of loyalty and bravery. We have served our human companions with unwavering devotion, protecting them from harm and providing them with companionship. It is your duty to continue this legacy.”

Sadie’s tail wagged at the mention of her human companions. She loved her family and would do anything to protect them.

“But remember,” the hologram added, “with great power comes great responsibility. And also, don’t forget to chase your tail at least once a day. It’s good for the soul.”

Sadie barked in agreement, her tail wagging even faster. She didn’t quite understand the concept of ‘responsibility’, but she was an expert at tail-chasing.

From that day forward, Sadie took her newfound royal status very seriously. She patrolled the house with a newfound sense of purpose, barking at the mailman with extra vigor and guarding her family with an intensity that was both endearing and slightly over the top.

One day, a squirrel dared to venture into Sadie’s backyard. With a royal bark, Sadie charged, chasing the intruder up a tree. The squirrel chittered angrily from a high branch, but Sadie stood her ground, her tail wagging triumphantly.

Her human companions watched in amusement. “Sadie’s really taken her guard dog duties to heart,” they laughed, unaware of the royal lineage that inspired their loyal pet’s behavior.

And so, Sadie, the royal Bernese Mountain Dog, continued to serve her family with unwavering loyalty and a touch of royal flair. She might not have understood her royal duties completely, but she knew one thing for sure – she loved her family and would do anything to protect them.

And every day, without fail, she chased her tail, just as King Rufus had instructed. After all, it was good for the soul. And it was also quite hilarious to watch, especially for her human companions who had no idea that their beloved pet was, in fact, royalty.

In the end, Sadie didn’t need a crown or a royal robe to be a queen. She was already a queen in the hearts of her family, ruling with a paw of iron and a heart full of love. And that, in Sadie’s opinion, was the best kind of royalty there was.
